these are the wonders of being a stay-at-home papa.
recently, while it was still dark, i woke up to a small hand exploring my face. my forehead. my nose. lips. cheeks. i realized it was the five-year-old boy. my guess is he had climbed into bed half asleep or sleepwalking, and he was figuring out whether i was i or i was mom. i didn’t mind the interruption. before i knew it, i had fallen back to sleep.
